In Mauritius, the circular economy sector involves various stakeholders from the public, private, and non-profit sectors, each playing unique roles in promoting environmental sustainability and waste reduction. The institutional setup for implementing the circular economy roadmap is as per the figure below.

The Ministry of Environment, Solid Waste Management and Climate Change, with the support of different partners, is implementing the Circular Economy Roadmap. Circular economy platforms have been set up for the five priority focus areas and one for the cross-cutting issues such as Education and Awareness Raising. The list of stakeholders involved in each Circular economy platform, can be found in the Annex I of the report “ Roadmap and Action Plan for a Circular Economy in the Republic of Mauritius”.
