Science-to-Policy Platform

The Science to Policy Platform will host and facilitate a multi-sectoral dialogue to disseminate and communicate on conclusive research, and serve as an advisory body for decision makers towards improved environmental governance, evidence-based decision-making and adaptive management. 

The platform will allow for the interaction between the scientific community and policymakers to address societal challenges, promote innovation, and ensure the responsible use of scientific knowledge in decision-making.  

Science policy is crucial for fostering a balance between scientific advancements and societal needs, ensuring that research aligns with broader goals such as sustainable development, public health, and environmental conservation.

It requires collaboration between scientists, policymakers, industry stakeholders, and the public to create an effective and responsive framework for scientific research and its applications.  

The S2P Platform reports analysis based on approved methodologies.  

ODE S2P Committee meets regularly to take stock of findings from peer- reviewed research works, share experiences, review policy implementation and impact and make new evidence based policies.

All these works will be made available as reports working papers and data sets on ODE iLibrary.
